Called the eighth-best independent bookstore in the world by the Guardian, This Ain't the Rosedale Library is moving after 22 years at its current Church Street Location. After decades as a destination for budget-conscious fashionistas, Brands of Toronto is going out of business. I managed to snag a snazzy black pinstripe suit by Coppley at the closing sale today. Owner Simon Brand has been trying to find me the perfect suit for the last two years and, lucky me, he did so during his last week in business. I will miss his good-natured humour and generous nature.
